It's been snowing on and off since 4ish yesterday. Just took the dogs for a walk on Pasquale. On Olivia and Ernie Malamud's lot noticed a HUGE oak tree, I'd say 80-100 ft. just let go and fell down their hill, taking a cedar with it. The saturated ground just let go. Luckily it did't hit anywhere near a building. Looks like the Universe just supplying next years firewood. Be careful out there. Some of these trees, expecially on embankments, can let go like that when the ground is wet and there is alot of wet heavy snow on top.
Sometimes you just gotta turn off the TV and get away from the bad news. Things will get better, but remember, as I once heard, "what if THESE are the good old days?????" It does make the days aplenty seem along time ago. I moved to NC April 2000, and we were just going into a "market adjustment" mini recession, then all of a sudden, things were booming (housing boom). Since arriving, I have made a living gardening, catering, housepainting, campaign work, and taking care of animals. All things I love. Right now, don't think I could count on income from any of those things. It is a different environment. What will be the next boom? I was thinking, if you have the time, this is a great opportunity for volunteer work that could become income when the economy recovers (helping out and networking). Time to try on a new hat and reinvent yourself. It's always exciting and encouraging to find out you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Took my rescue dog, Jenna to the vet (DR. Tim) to find out why she won't use her right rear leg.
Hip dysplasia. Not good. Have to put her on a healthy new regime. Anyone out there with experience to help me help her? She's only 5 or 6 yrs, and I don't want her in unncessary pain.
Does accupressure help???????
