Hoping the worst is over

Well, 3 more feet over the last week. Long timers saying that they have not seen this kind of snow in 30 years. Hopefully, this is the storm OF THE CENTURY for us. A 75' oak tree just laid down in my yard, missing my house and cars by inches. Hard to say how much damage from this last snowfall, as they fall, they sometimes disappear into the snow. Perusing the neighborhood, lots of trees leaning against buildings, and unfortunately cars and homes have been damaged. Hope you are doing well. So good to live in a neighborhood where neighbors help neighbors. Keep up the good work all. Cleanup is going to be a challenge when the white stuff melts. Lot power at 9pm Thu. night. Not sure when it comes back. Looks like it may be "awhile."

  2. We high tailed it out of there on Thursday. I am too pregnant to deal with this right now! I can't wait to go back home!

  3. Hi Denise. I can't believe I found this. Duh, why didn't I just search Cascade Shores in the first place? Well if you've walked around the corner you must see a tree through my roof. Poor guy who has been renting a room for the last month and 1/2 has had one problem after the next including health challenges. My insurance company is on the job and has referred a local contractor but as of yesterday things looked impassable. Could you or someone let me know when its possible to get down the hill or in on Pasquale so I can get assessments and estimates. Poor everyone there but I know what a tight community you are. I hope all the critters are well and their humans. You and Phil are on the job. We're having quite a spell down in Monterey County as well between tsunami and hunks of Hwy 1 falling into the sea and rivers overruning their banks. Come spring, we're gonna see some flowers we've never seen before and have lots of firewood. I hear in addition to the one that hit my house there are at least 6 down on my property. If anyone out there cares to do me the dubious favor of posting a picture or two of the outside I sure will appreciate it and will bake you one of my famous apple pies next time I come up (in a week) if I can get in that is. I'll be checking back here for any helpful info. 16796 Pasquale.

  4. we noticed your tree as we were out surveying our damage. you were very lucky. like you a huge pine tree came crashing down on our deck, mm from our house. hahahaha sadly we lost 2 cars and our property power pole. i'm just so thankful for pg&e working so hard and the county for keeping the grade clear since pasquale was blocked. i just pray we can find a good electrician to fix our pole, power and then quickly get comcast and pg&e out to hook us up again. until then you'll have to listen to a generator our friends kindly loaned us. sorry.

  6. Becky, I am so sorry to hear of your damage. After all the trees you removed, how ironic it was a front yard tree that gave your problems. Hope things get better soon.
